LATELY THERE'S BEEN AN AWFUL LOT OF NEW "INDIE / ELECTRO" CLUBS THAT HAVE BEEN POPPIN UP. WHATS THE REASON FOR ALL OF IT? IS IT THE NEW "COOL" THING TO DO? THE PEOPLE DOING IT, ARE THEY TRYING TO BE A SCENE KING OR QUEEN? I GUESS IF YOU KNOW A DJ OR TWO ITS NOW OK, TO OPEN YOUR OWN WEEKLY CLUB? ITS UNDERSTANDABLE HAVING A DJ AT YOUR HOUSE PARTY, FOR SOME OF YOUR GOOD FRIENDS, ITS EVEN OK TO HAVE A ONE OFF WAREHOUSE PARTY OR 1 TIME EVENT. BUT IS THERE ANY REAL REASON TO TRY AND HAVE THREE SEPARATE "INDIE / ELECTRO" CLUBS ON THE SAME WEEKNIGHT LESS THAN A HALF AN HOUR DRIVE FROM EACH OTHER THAT HOLD A THOUSAND PEOPLE? ITS NEVER GONNA HAPPEN, THE COMMUNITY JUST ISN'T THAT BIG YET. MAYBE A YEAR OR TWO DOWN THE ROAD IT MIGHTTT WORK OUT THAT WAY BUT FOR NOW ITS ONLY HURTING MORE THAN HELPING. TRUTHFULLY THERE'S ONLY SO MANY PEOPLE TO GO AROUND, AND SO MANY DJ'S TO PLAY MUSIC. SURE.... KEEP BOOKING THE SAME DJ'S WHO PLAY THE SAME SONGS IN THE SAME TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT AS ALL THE OTHER NIGHTS OVER AND OVER. IS THAT REALLY GONNA HELP PEOPLE HAVE MORE FUN? YA, THERE YA GO! GOOD JOB TRYING TO RE-CREATE SOMEONE ELSE'S NIGHT! PEOPLE DON'T GIVE A FUCK, THEY HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE, TIME AND TIME AGAIN. I THINK ITS SAFE TO SAY, THAT MOST IDEAS HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE AND ITS HONESTLY OK TO DO THEM AGAIN, JUST DON'T MAKE ALL OF THEM THE SAME, EVERY NIGHT
BASICALLY THE BOTTOM LINE IS : IF YOUR GONNA START SOMETHING NEW THEN MAKE IT DIFFERENT (AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE), MAKE IT FUN, MAKE IT WORTH GOING TO.

would be nice to see new dj's once in a while playing at the more popular clubs that are out there now and days.would give us something diffirent to expect.
i agree..there is about 20 different clubs on tues-wed-thurs and sunday nights..why why why!? =/
i swear every other daay theres a new electro cluuub poppiiing uup and your right they are ALL the samee just about i wanna see something DIFFERENNNT!
4 long years of me going to these clubs....and yeah...they haven't changed a ton. its the same faces and djs and music for the most part.
exactly what i was talking about just yesterday. Its the same thing night after night ...different venue. Usually the same venue just a different name. show me something different. =]
Wow! A kindred spirit. My friends and I have been in and out of the Electronic scene for years here. Not part of the "Cool Cats Club" but we have been to them all. We have had countless discussions about this since the scene started to blow up again. That is why I feel this scene has not grown drastically on a US level. Everyone wants their own piece of the pie!
The question begs to be asked though, "How long do most o these clubs actually last, till they are exposed?"
